FOOD FOR THOUGHT ON VOCATION'S TO THE PRIESTHOOD.
priesthood is a vocation not career, it is a chioce, not an option, it is a call for action, responsiveness, dedication, obedient, participation, submission, dutifulness, caring, transparency, productivness accountability and fulfilment.
Thus, every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matter related to God to offer gift and sacrifice for sins. He will be able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifice for his own sins as well for the sin of the people. And no one take this honors on himself, but he received it when called by God just as Aaron was. Heb 5:1_4
IN RESPONDING TO THE CALL:
One must pay heed, pray, discern, watch, act and abide by God's will against the will of self, nature. Pleasure sin Satan, politics meddlers, liars, pride, talebearer, gossiper and ego-centrism.
The words of a priest lip should preserve knowledge of God and people should go to him for instructions for the priest is the messenger of the Lord of heaven's Armies Mal:2-7
It is one thing to be called by God, but it is also another thing to be chosen by God and still be tested by men or chosen by men: through human sentiment, polices and patrimonial favoritism. Yet, it is one thing to be disapproved by men, but it is also another thing to be approved by God and be favored by men.
It is one thing to be responsive or receptive to God instructions but it is also another thing to be dedicated to the service of God and for humanity but it is also another thing to be dutiful without bias working without self-seeking and edifying without murmuring or listening to gossips and acting based on human ideologies or sentiment. It is one thing to be submissive to those in authorities and to the teaching of Christ to whom all things must be subjected to in heaven and upon the earth. May God help our entire Priest. Amen. Pray and support your Priests positively dearest friends.

At occasions like this, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen of blessed memory would simply say: "The Priest is not his own."
